Service Officer at Statens Service Center in Visby

At the service office in Visby, we are three employees and we belong to the Stockholm Gotland region. We work with a service-oriented approach where you and your colleagues take joint responsibility for your mission and learning. We actively work with continuous improvements, and it is part of the role to contribute to the development of the organization.

Main Responsibilities

As a service officer, you provide quick and professional service by answering questions from individuals and businesses. A large part of your work involves guiding customers to use the collaborative authorities' e-services and to find information on websites. In your role, it is important that you listen actively, adapt your approach to the customer, and maintain a pedagogical attitude.

In your customer meetings, you will have support from the various authorities' IT systems. In addition to introduction and training, time is allocated each day for you to familiarize yourself with the information you need to stay updated on news and changes affecting the service office's operations. You may also be required to work at other service offices, sometimes with short notice.

Qualifications

You are driven to provide our customers with good service by identifying each customer's needs and providing answers or guidance. Since you work closely with customers, you must feel comfortable in direct meetings with customers from various backgrounds and abilities. In short, we are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and is quick to learn new knowledge.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree of at least 80 credits/120 ECTS or equivalent knowledge obtained through work experience
  • Worked for at least two years in the last five years in a service profession where you have informed and guided customers in personal meetings

Additionally, you should possess the following abilities:

  • Quickly establish contact with others in an objective and professional manner
  • Map the customer's needs by asking questions and listening actively
  • Communicate orally and in writing in Swedish
  • Communicate orally in English
  • Adapt your working methods to the varying needs of customers
  • Handle multiple customers simultaneously
  • Contribute positively to the team's results and collaboration

Other Information

The employment is permanent and full-time. We usually apply a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Location: Visby. We do not have the possibility for remote work.

This position requires a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act. As an employee, you may also be placed in a war position based on the needs of total defense.
